Dollar Movie Theory

I am going to present a theory or human nature (not a law, I'm not that presumptuous). It is called the Dollar Movie Theory. Here's the basis for the theory:

Jenny and I go to the dollar theater pretty often for movies we don't necessarily care about the sound or picture on, like movies for Tanner. It's cheaper and if we take Tanner and he doesn't like the movie, we don't feel badly about walking out and wasting $3. We always show up early. I know that may be a surprise to those of you who have ever done anything with us, but that seems to be the one things we can make on time. We laugh every time because there is ALWAYS a huge group of people who walk in right before the movie starts and expects to find a seat together. They seem so put out by the fact that they arrived half and hour after everyone else and there are not 13 seats together in the middle of the middle section.

So here is the theory, and eventually we all do it, so don't point fingers too quickly: Humans will always think of something to do, that they believe is a brilliant plan, after hundreds or even thousands of people have already thought of it.

Think about it. Let's go get Halloween costumes at Walmart on October 30, I'm sure they've still got some. Oh, did you hear Hannah Montana is in town? I bet they've still got some tickets. I-15 is sure crowded, I bet taking State Street this time of day would be much faster.

So I'd love to hear your experiences with the Dollar Movie Theory. Just realize that when you do, you won't be the first one...
