So this is my first post from lovely Chandler, Arizona. The move went really smoothly thanks to all of our family and friends that helped. I hate moving more than anything in the world. It's great to have people who come and help you lift all your stuff, because by the time you're done, every box you don't have to lift is a crazy big blessing.
We had a while to unpack once we got here. We didn't get all of it unpacked, but our house is livable. Not necessarily drop by-able yet, but we're comfortable. Jenny had crazy pink eye in both of her eyes to the point that she couldn't even really open them at all or for very long. I did my best to unpack and wrangle Tanner, but we like to play together too much to be very much help. We ended up going to the pool every day last week and watching a lot of Disney movies together. So should I have unpacked my house instead of spending time with Tanner? Absolutely not. I realize that more boxes could have been taken out, but we got to spend a lot of quality time together and that's completely worth it to me.
I started work today. Great first day! I get really worked up about stuff like that and it turns out it was for no reason. The people I work with are great and I think I will really enjoy my new job. I'll give more details about my job when I learn more about my job myself!
Because it is an unavoidable topic when you bring up Arizona to people, I will make one comment on the weather (Isn't it hot there?). It is hot here, but so far it has been avoidable. We don't go outside in the middle of the day because you would have to be pretty stupid to want to. It's in the 70s at night when we go to bed, and that's not too bad. Just know that I have been drinking lots of water, something the kids enjoy I'm sure, and using a lot of chap-stick. I may become converted to lotion.
Pictures of the apartment complex and stuff to come.
By the way, I need to link my page to a lot of yours if you want to swap.
